4 months old already!

Well it was Caleb and Ayden's 4month appt yesterday, they did really good except when it was time for shots it was so sad they screamed there little heads off and mom cried too, man that is hard to see them have to go through that and they were pretty miserable all day yesterday they are doing alot better today.
Anyways Caleb is now 12, 11 and 24 inches and Ayden is 12, 12 and 24 & a quarter. Caleb has finally caught up with his brother and we think he is going to pass him up by there next appt. They both have the same size of head though there heads are big but that dr says that is good cuz it means there brains are growing well hehehe.

Whats been going on!

Well its been awhile since I have updated sorry I am just not a good blogger anyways here is what has been going on for the last month or so, k first off the boys are doing very well they are still sleeping through the night so I have to keep my fingers crossed that it continues they go to bed around 10:00pm and sleep until 8:30 am so it has been wonderful, they are such good little sleepers so far lets all hope that continues.
Okay so the boys were blessed back in May on May 3rd to be exact, Pats brother Bill blessed them for us, thank you Bill it was a very nice day after the blessing we all headed up to my moms for some yummy food here are a few pics of the boys in there tuxes they are so cute, they were not very happy that day because church ran longer then usual and they were starving by the time we got to grandmas so pics were the last thing they wanted:


Okay then we had mav's graduation to get ready for, I can't believe she has graduated it just seems like yesterday when she came to live with pat and I and she was 14 years old now she is 18 and graduated from Highschool, it was a nice day we went to mav's favorite restaurant for dinner Tepenyaki it was pat and I and mav and melica and monica, I have pics of her graduation night but have not downloaded them yet so when I get that done I will post some.
Okay other then that we haven't had much going on, I am loving that mindy is home on maternity leave for a couple of months cuz we have been going on walks and its been great, I did get myself a new stroller cuz i hated my other one so here are a few pics of the boys in there first stroller that they were not a fan of and then a pic of them in there new stroller that they love....well caleb does anyway hehe:

Well that is all we have been up to for now, nothing much we are pretty boring these days. The boys have there 4 month appt next tuesday so I will post about there progress after that.

The New Arrivals!

Okay so we have had some exciting couple of days, so mindy was admitted into the hospital on monday because of her high blood pressure and high protein in her urine so she stayed from monday til wed and they told her she could go home wed morning so she got up and dressed and ready to head home and the dr. came in and said mindy I am so sorry but I have some bad news you are going to have this baby today and mindy was freaking out because her actual due date was not until June 2nd well sure enough she had her baby last night finally at 11:10PM. She went through a long day of labor and then had some complications so they ended up taking her by C-section but both mom and baby are doing great. Samantha Lauren was born on May 6th at 11:10pm and weighed 6lbs 1oz and was 19 1/2 inches she is so cute, she also had her on emily's birthday now those of you who know emily she does not like to share but she told mindy that she would only share with her, well the sad news is that emily was due before mindy and she still hasn't had her baby and it could be another couple of weeks, so keep your fingers crossed for em that he comes soon. Alright for the next arrival, so as all of you know Melica and Mindy were both due on the same day June 2nd, well Melica has been having some complications since wk 34 and has been dialated to a 4 for the last wk or more and finally last night she couldn't take the contractions anymore so her and Jay headed up to the hospital to see whats up and the dr. finally said we are just going to break your water and deliver this baby because for the last 3 wks or so they have just been sending her back to nephi having major contractions but they would do anything about it but they finally did last night and into today so Melica had her water broke around midnight and she had the baby about 4 hours later she had a beautiful baby boy Kaden Estes was born May 7th at 3:54AM and he weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 21 inches long both him and mom are doing great. So emily had samantha born on her birthday and I got to have Kaden born on my birthday how funny is that, they were both due the same day and they pretty much had them the same day they were like 5 hours apart how funny is that, that they were both born early and emily still hasn't had her baby!

First night in their Crib!

Okay so saturday night was a hard night for me, you know sometimes I wish I could be the dad because they have it so much easier its like things do not affect them the way it does for the moms. Anyways my boys are now 2 months old and doing very well so we decided that it was time to move them out of the bassinet and into there own room and crib. Well of course I kept toying with the idea all day, I kept saying okay should we really move them into there nursery yet, maybe we should wait for a couple more weeks, cuz you see pat is going out of town this week for 4 days and I kept saying I think I need to have them in my room with me since he is going to be gone it will just be easier for me well anyways saturday night came and it was time to move them in there and up until it was time for bed I still kept saying oh maybe I am not ready, but I think I surprised pat and myself because I went through with it and yes it was really hard saturday night I didn't get a whole lot of sleep because I kept waking up and going into there room to check on them and yes they were doing great and of course Dad was out like a light snoring logs. Well we kind of got them to bed alittle bit late on saturday night it was about 10:45 but they actually slept clear until 6:15 so it was actually really good for them because when they were sleeping in our room in the bassinet they would sleep from about 10:00until 3:00 or 4:00 am so they slept a couple more hours so it was good for dad hehehehe. Well sunday night we got them in bed at there normal bedtime it was around 9:30 and they slept clear until 6:00 am again so they are doing great so far sleeping in there crib. I have to say Pat and I are pretty lucky because even before we moved them into there crib they were sleeping at least 5 or 6 hours so now they are sleeping about 8 hours and mom did alot better on sunday night, I only got up once during the night to check on them instead of 3 times.

2 Months Old!

Okay so I know have been a slacker, but lets see you try and get anytime to yourself to get on the computer and post about things when you have 2 screaming babies that want to eat all the time and get there bums changed hehehe.
Anyways we had there 2 month doctors appt on wed and it went really good,here is a pic of them on there way to the dr. office all bundled up:
they are both doing really well except they had to get there shots and it was really sad they screamed there little heads off and mom started crying also. I have never been such a boob until I had kids. Pat had to hold there little hands down while I stood in the back cuz I couldn't watch them get poked they both had to get 3 shots in the leg and then drink some kind of stuff but they loved the drink so that was good.
K Caleb weighed 5'5 when he was born and was 19 inches long he now weighs 9'4 and is 21 and 3/4 inches long so yes he is growing he is becoming a little chunk he is so cute: here is a pic of him getting so big and sitting up in his bumbo chair:

K Ayden weighed 6'2 when he was born and was 19 1/2 inches long he now weighs 9'13 and is 22 1/2 inches long he is definitley growing also he is a little chunk you would have never knew he had complications when he was born cuz he is doing amazing.

K well both boys and mom are doing great, things are finally starting to get a little bit easier, or maybe its just that mom is finally cooping with things hehehe.

Okay so I really don't have much to update, we do the same ole stuff just a different day, I am kind of living in ground hog day right now, get up feed, change diapers, lotion up babies and get them dressed for the day and then its time to feed again and change diapers and do laundry hehehe, but I do take lots of pics every day so here are some new pics of the boys:

Finally an Update!

Okay so I know I have been just horrible about blogging these days, but I have a great excuse now, lets see you guys try and find time to blog or do anything for yourself with 2 boys it is not easy anyways okay so I know melica and april both did an update for me when we had the boys so thanks guys well now I am going to tell all!
K well Pat and I had 2 beautiful little boys on Feb 15th Pat's B-day what a great b-day babe. Anyways we arrived at the hospital at 7:30 and was supposed to have the boys around 9. Things were a little delayed with my dr. assistant so it was alittle longer but they finally arrived Caleb was born at 9:56 weighing 5lbs 5oz and 19 inches long and Ayden was born at 9:58 weighing 6lbs 2oz and 19 1/2 inches long. I had a C-section so I did not even get to see my boys when they were born they were both sent to the special care nursery right away to make sure they were okay, so after that they got me put back together and got me settled back into my room and about and hour after delivery Caleb was brought to my room, but not Ayden well come to find out Ayden had some respitory problems and had to be put on oxygen and hooked up to some IV's and all so I actually did not get to see him about 10:00 that night for the first time, but I was the first person that got to hold him, his dad didn't even get to hold him until 2 days later so that was cool. Anyways Ayden ended up staying in the special care nursery the whole time we were in the hospital, we were there from sunday to thursday and we were told that he was probably not going to be coming home with us and that he would have to stay a few days longer. So thursday came and we were getting ready to go home and the dr. came in and told us the good news thatb Ayden was doing much better and he had a wonderful night and that he was going to get to come home with us I was so happy.
Well we got home and started trying to find our routine...yep we are still trying to find that hehehe, anyways I am finally starting to recover I went through alot more then I was planning it to be but I am finally doing much better and starting to get back to my normal self, no more bauling over every little thing, and I am enjoying the heck out of my boys. I find myself just staring at them constantly and never wanting to leave my room just so I can be right by them at all times, but I am getting better about coming out of my room now and taking the monitor around with me so I can get things done that need to be done.
K so I am not sure what its like to just have one kid, but holy hell it is crazy with two, I feel like all I am doing is changing bums and feeding and burping and doing loads and loads of laundry and never sleeping good times.
Well I just want to say I would have never made it through these last 2 wks without pat he has been the best throughout this whole thing, I could never ask for a better guy and a better dad, while we were in the hospital pat had to do everything cuz I was down for most the time and I couldn't do much so pat was going back and forth between our room and the Special care nursery to feed Caleb and then feed Ayden(once he was able to eat on his own) Pat was amazing and I love him so much. Thanks Babe!
Well lets just say things are much better now and we have finally got the boys on a good schedule and they are sleeping about 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours in between each feeding so thats been kind of nice so pat and I are getting at least 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night so I guess that is pretty good with twins.
K well we went to there dr. appt today and both boys are doing very well, Caleb has gained 11oz he went from 5lbs 2oz to 5lbs 13oz and 19 1/2 inches. Ayden went from 5lbs 10oz to 6lbs 5oz and 19 3/4 inches so they are both gaining weight and growing and just both cute as ever. Okay well sorry for rambling on but I just thought I would update you all on what it has been like for us for the last 2 wks.
Also just wanted to wish Mav a happy 18th B-day and tell her how much I appreciate everything she has done for her dad and I to help out with the boys she has been the best help throughout this whole ordeal she is a great big sister. Love ya Mav.
